ইসলামী শিক্ষায় হাদিসের গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম, কারণ হাদিস আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনযাপনের বাস্তব দিকনির্দেশনা দেয়। কুরআনের আলোকে রাসুলুল্লাহ ﷺ–এর কথা ও কর্ম মানুষের চরিত্র গঠন, নৈতিকতা উন্নয়ন এবং সঠিক পথে চলার জন্য অনন্য পথনির্দেশক। ব্যস্ত জীবনে অনেক সময় দীর্ঘ আলোচনা বা বড় বই পড়া সম্ভব হয় না, তখন সংক্ষিপ্ত অথচ অর্থবহ বাণী মানুষের মনে গভীর প্রভাব ফেলে। এই কারণেই শিক্ষামূলক ছোট হাদিস আজকের সময়ে মুসলমানদের কাছে বিশেষভাবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠেছে।
এই ধরনের হাদিস অল্প কথায় বড় শিক্ষা দেয়। সত্য বলা, ধৈর্য ধারণ করা, অন্যের প্রতি দয়া দেখানো, বাবা-মায়ের সম্মান করা কিংবা প্রতিবেশীর অধিকার রক্ষা—এসব বিষয় ছোট ছোট হাদিসের মাধ্যমেই সহজভাবে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। ফলে শিশু, তরুণ কিংবা বয়স্ক—সব শ্রেণির মানুষ সহজেই এসব শিক্ষা বুঝতে ও মনে রাখতে পারে।
